Hello Father:

My name is Raymond Hajducsek.  I was stationed at Guys Marsh Military Hospital from 1950 to 1952.  I was married in your Church St. Edward the martyr on October 8, 1952.  Guys Marsh in now a prison??

Father Juneau (most likely misspelled) was the pastor at the time.  I married a Woolridge girl from Fontmell Magna.

All total, I spent 6 years in England and loved every minute of it.

I'm sure Shaftesbury has not changed much since I left.
I believe it was founded in 880 AD.

I remember Gold Hill and the quaint houses and shops in town.

I will be 77 years old this week and I recall your town with a vivid memory.

If you would like to respond:

Take care.
