Hospital Information

Shaftesbury has its own small hospital - the Westminster Memorial Hospital. It used to have an Accident and Emergency department but that was closed in 2007 and it now has only a Minor Injuries clinic which is open from 08:00 - 20:00.

Consultants visit the hospital regularly however from Salisbury District Hospital in Odstock, just to the south of Salisbury which is a large and very capable regional centre.

Patients in the Shaftesbury area that cannot be treated locally generally go to Salisbury District Hospital but also to Shepton Mallet Community Hospital.
